| The camp is host to people with a wide array of disabilities — cerebral palsy, down syndrome, spinal bifida, and autism, just to name a few. There is no typical Jabberwocky camper. Some campers use wheelchairs, some use crutches, and some walk without any help at all. Likewise some use word boards or computers while others spell words by moving their eyes left to right. Some talk very slowly and some talk a mile a minute. The important thing is everyone is there to participate and communicate.

Campers range in age from 8 to 65 years old. Some campers have had very little academic experience, while others hold advanced graduate degrees. Some live at home and others have apartments and jobs. We are a diverse group! Unfortunately, each year we receive more requests from campers wanting to attend the camp than we can fill, so please understand our space limitations. We try to make room for new campers each year and do our best to accommodate each camper's needs. Do understand that Jabberwocky is not for everyone. We try to be as active as possible, and while our cabins are fully accessible, they are, well, cabins, and cabin-style sleeping and living conditions should be considered carefully by potential campers.
