Fall Work Day and a Thank YOU

Oh hello there! Thought we were done for the Summ? Nooooo way Jose! Yesterday was our very first Fall Work Day, where members of the Jabberwocky and island community pitched in to get camp all nice and cozy for it's rest time. Thank you so much to everyone who came by to lend a hand!

And that leads us right to our second order of business. Thanking you. We want to try to express as fully as possible our gratitude, knowing that the English dictionary doesn't have enough words to do it justice. Thank you. A whole Summer 2024 of friendship and everlasting love (not not a nod to the end credits of The Parent Trap). We are so incredibly grateful to all of you who showed up just as you are and brought the Summer sunshine to 200 Greenwood. Campers, counselors, medical staff, kitchen staff, art volunteers, stop-byers, work weekend warriors, Fall work day doers and so many more.

But Jabberwocky is way more than a physical space. It's a community. A community that spreads far beyond Greenwood Ave. To everyone who is a part of this community, we see you and we love you a whole lot more than any blog can express. Thank you for everything.

Summer may be over, but what do you say we agree to bring pieces of the Jabberwocky magic wherever we are? That might mean calling your camp bestie to say hi, tuning in to Jabberwebby throughout the year, making a time to visit a cabin mate, offering to host an event in your area, telling someone new about Jabberwocky, or striving to always bring kindness, curiosity and love to your daily interactions. Or maybe even believing as many as six impossible things before breakfast. That works for everyone? Okay good deal.

This is not goodbye, it's see you soon.

All the love imaginable,

Camp
