Will You Go to Blog (Prom) With Me??

Today was a hoot and a half with all the rain! Dare we say thrilling? The day started like any other except instead of Jabberday Live, we stayed in the main cabin to finish up the movie from last night so we could fully remember how The Parent Trap ends. It's such a good ending, you can never see it too many times. After making sure that Lindsay Lohan saved the day, we went to classes. Today's classes were picking flowers, letter writing, prepping for prom, and packing. The flowers apparently needed a little watering because when we were there, the rain came to boost the flowers up a bit. Good day to be a flower and a great day to be a camper at Jabberwocky who doesn't mind getting a little wet!

After we all came back and grabbed a delish lunch, we had some time to rest and listen to the sounds of the rain falling on our cabins. Then we had a choice if we still wanted to go to the beach (which believe it or not, for some folks a clouding beach day is a great beach day) or hang back at camp for art and puzzle time. Some of us got pampered for prom with a full nail polish moment, others wrote postcards, while some started in on a new puzzle or art piece. As you already know, we bring the sun right on over to a rainy day.

Then it was time for showers and getting ready for our beautiful prom night! The looks were fire (as the kids say) and we all had a ball (though it wasn't a ball it was a prom, so don't get it twisted.) Thanks to some neighborhood friends, our dinner tables were elegant with tea lights and flowers and our thanks to our volunteers, our decorations were magnificent. It was most definitely a prom to remember! Some of us are headed out tomorrow and some of us are staying here for another week, so we're now resting up before a transition morning. Off to bed we go!

Love,

Camp
